Yes, See You at Work Tomorrow! has a happy ending.

Kang Si-woo quits Saeum Electronics and later launches his own startup, while Cha Ji-yoon stays at the company and finally earns a promotion. Six months later, they exchange rings in a mutual proposal.

The drama does not show a wedding ceremony, but the final scene clearly suggests that Si-woo and Ji-yoon are engaged and plan to get married.

Spoiler Warning: This article contains major spoilers for Episode 12.

See You at Work Tomorrow! Ending Explained

1. Does the drama have a happy ending?

Yes.

Both lead characters move forward in their careers, and their romantic relationship ends on a positive note.

Si-woo starts a new business, Ji-yoon receives her promotion, and the couple confirms their commitment through a mutual proposal.

2. Why does Kang Si-woo quit his job?

Kang Si-woo becomes frustrated with the company’s opaque evaluation system, conservative culture and internal politics.

Although senior executives try to convince him to stay, he decides to resign from Saeum Electronics.

Before leaving, he hands over information connected to corruption within the company.

His resignation is not portrayed as a failure. It represents his decision to leave an unhealthy workplace and create a new future for himself.

3. What happens to Kang Si-woo after he quits?

After resigning, Si-woo spends time helping at the shop owned by Ji-yoon’s father.

Six months later, he launches his own startup called See You Tomorrow.

The name connects to the drama’s title and symbolizes his new beginning.

4. What happens to Cha Ji-yoon?

Cha Ji-yoon stays at Saeum Electronics.

After her office romance becomes public, she faces false rumors that she received special treatment because of Si-woo. The controversy also affects her promotion.

However, Ji-yoon continues proving her ability, and her work is eventually recognized. By the end of the drama, she is promoted to a higher position.

Si-woo and Ji-yoon choose different career paths, but they continue supporting each other.

5. Do Kang Si-woo and Cha Ji-yoon get married?

A wedding ceremony is not shown.

However, both Si-woo and Ji-yoon prepare rings and propose to each other at the same time.

This mutual proposal clearly implies that they are engaged and intend to get married.

Drama vs. Original Webtoon

See You at Work Tomorrow! is based on the Korean webtoon officially released in English as Back to Work!

As someone who read the original webtoon first, I initially thought Seo In-guk looked different from the Kang Si-woo I had imagined. The webtoon character has a paler complexion and a colder, sharper appearance.

However, Seo In-guk became more convincing as the drama progressed. His romantic-comedy performance helped him create his own version of the character.

Another small difference involves Yoon No-ah. In the original webtoon, I remember her studying Chinese, while the drama changes the language to French.

The adaptation changes some details, but it keeps the original story’s focus on workplace exhaustion, office relationships and career pressure.

The official English version of the original webtoon is available on Tapas.

Quick Review

The drama uses familiar office-romance tropes, but its portrayal of workplace stress, promotion anxiety and the desire to quit makes it relatable.

The romance is predictable, but Seo In-guk’s performance helps make the series a light and comfortable watch.

I personally preferred the original webtoon, but the drama still delivers a warm and satisfying ending.

Rating: ★★★☆☆ (3/5)
