Filing for Love is a Korean office romantic comedy about Joo In-a, a strict audit director, and Noh Ki-joon, an ace employee who suddenly gets transferred to a team handling workplace misconduct cases.
Their relationship begins with resentment and suspicion, but working together slowly turns that tension into romance. At the same time, Haemu Group becomes caught in family conflict, corporate politics, and a major business sale plan that could put employees' jobs at risk.
SPOILER WARNING: Major spoilers for Filing for Love below.

Q1. Does Filing for Love Have a Happy Ending?
Yes. Filing for Love has a happy ending.
The conflict inside Haemu Group is resolved, Joo In-a and Noh Ki-joon both move forward in their careers, and their relationship becomes much more serious.
There is no wedding in the finale, but the drama makes it clear that they choose to stay together and build a life as a couple.
Q2. Do Joo In-a and Noh Ki-joon Get Married?
No. They do not get married in the final episode.
Instead, they decide to move in together.
In-a has always believed marriage is not for her, so the drama does not suddenly force her into a wedding ending.
Living together feels like a more natural next step for her character, and it still gives the couple a very clear happy ending.
Q3. Why Is Joo In-a Afraid of Love?
In-a grew up with a painful family history.
Her father was a married man who had an affair with her mother, and he abandoned her mother after she became pregnant.
In-a was then raised by her mother alone.
Because of that experience, In-a finds it difficult to trust romantic relationships and tends to reject love before she can get hurt.
Her relationship with Ki-joon gradually forces her to reconsider that fear and allow someone else into her life.
Q4. Who Is Jeon Jae-yeol to Joo In-a?
Jeon Jae-yeol is In-a's ex-boyfriend.
He is also Haemu Group's executive vice chairman and a third-generation chaebol heir.
The two once loved each other, but Jae-yeol entered an arranged marriage and their relationship ended.
Even after the breakup, however, Jae-yeol never completely forgot In-a.
And yes, I have to admit that the ex-boyfriend was extremely charismatic in this drama. 😂
Q5. Why Is Joo In-a Accused of Having an Affair?
Park A-jeong sends a company-wide email accusing In-a and Jae-yeol of having an affair.
A-jeong has been in love with Jae-yeol, so she becomes jealous when she realizes that he still has feelings for In-a, his former girlfriend.
Driven by that jealousy, she spreads the accusation throughout the company.
The scandal creates major problems for both In-a and Jae-yeol and also gives Jeon Seong-yeol an opportunity to attack his brother and strengthen his own position inside Haemu Group.
Q6. What Happens to Haemu Group in the Ending?
Haemu Group faces another crisis when Jeon Seong-yeol pushes ahead with the sale of part of the company's business.
The plan could result in large-scale layoffs, so In-a and Ki-joon try to stop it in order to protect the employees.
They eventually convince Jae-yeol to step in.
Jae-yeol persuades his father, who remains a registered director, to support removing Seong-yeol from his position.
The motion succeeds, and the planned business sale is stopped.
The employees who were facing possible layoffs are able to keep their jobs.
Q7. What Happens to Jeon Seong-yeol?
Seong-yeol's attempt to strengthen his position inside Haemu Group ultimately fails.
After pushing the business sale plan and creating a crisis for the employees, he loses the support needed to stay in power.
Jae-yeol and his father help pass the motion to remove him from his position.
So Seong-yeol ends the drama losing the control over Haemu Group that he had been trying to secure.
Q8. What Happens to Jeon Jae-yeol?
Jae-yeol does not return to the center of Haemu Group management.
Instead, he becomes the head of the medical foundation and leads its new drug development efforts.
After spending much of the drama caught between family expectations, corporate politics, and his feelings for In-a, he finally chooses a different path for himself.
I thought this ending suited him much better than simply putting him back in the executive chair.
Q9. What Happens to Park A-jeong?
A-jeong causes one of the biggest scandals in the drama when she sends the email accusing In-a and Jae-yeol of having an affair.
However, she does not remain against Jae-yeol until the end.
During the final conflict, she ultimately chooses to support him.
Jae-yeol later recognizes her ability and offers to recruit her to work with him.
So A-jeong's ending is less about punishment and more about getting another professional opportunity after making some very messy emotional choices.
Q10. What Happens to Joo In-a and Noh Ki-joon at Work?
Both characters move forward professionally.
Ki-joon becomes an ace manager, while In-a is promoted to executive director and remains in the audit department.
So the ending gives them progress in both love and career.
They begin the drama in conflict, but finish it as a couple who have both grown professionally and personally.
Quick Review
I started Filing for Love because Shin Hye-sun, Gong Myoung, and Kim Jae-wook sounded like a combination I could not skip.
The workplace misconduct audit concept was probably the most interesting part of the drama for me.
I enjoyed the earlier episodes, where different PM cases and guest actors gave each story its own flavor.
But as the series continued, the focus shifted more toward chaebol family politics, corporate control, and the business sale and power struggle inside Haemu Group.
That made the second half feel less fresh than the beginning.
Gong Myoung's Ki-joon is a kind and straightforward younger man, although sometimes he felt slightly whiny to me. 😂
And then there was Kim Jae-wook.
Jae-yeol has a huge flaw because he once chose an arranged marriage over In-a, but somehow he still felt more mature and charismatic than the actual male lead to me.
The ex-boyfriend was just too cool. 😂
Shin Hye-sun was reliable as always, and Hong Hwa-yeon also had a more complicated character than I expected.
I especially liked the basic idea of auditing inappropriate workplace relationships because it gave the drama something different from a typical office romance.
I just wish the series had stayed closer to that concept instead of becoming so focused on the chaebol family's power struggle in the second half.
Overall, the premise was fun and the cast was strong, but the drama lost some of its early charm as it went on.
